¨I always depend on the kindness of strangers¨

People here are..
unbelievable.

Im lost, I simply hand my phone to someone on the street, they pick it up, say (in spanish. duh) ¨tell me¨ and Im off again with semi-clear directions ORRRRR
I end up with a new walking companion who doesn´t leave my side until I am safely tucked away in the arms of friends.
What an enigma? This has happened to me on more than one occasion and it leaves me with that warm feeling and a renewed faith in humanity.

Yes, there are people who care.

In fact I can give you another. N´s parents. They are fantastic. They care about me. They take me on day trips outside the city- I dont ask, they dont even ask- we get in the car, end up next to a 2,000 year old Roman aqueduct, and this is my life.

SO what have I done to send the good vibes out into the universe, Im sure you´re wondering?

actually nothing springs to mind..

So ANYWAY there´s this blog I follow (totally embarassing that I´ve become one of those people that follow *cough-multiple-cough* blogs) called

musingsfromthefishbowl- all vegan cooking, you know I just like the pictures. hah.

and there is this great recipe for tomatoe sauce that I want to share with you

2 to 3lbs vine-ripened tomatoes
1 bulb of purple or pink garlic, or just normal if you can’t find them
fresh parsley
about 30cl or a 1/4 of homemade ketchup or a few tablespoons of tomato paste
salt and pepper to taste

first the garlic (dont let it BURN), add tomatoes, let it simmer, add ketchup or paste or whatever, spice up your life, done AND DONE.

so on friday Im making this family spaghetti, americana style, with salad and wine just in case it sucks. if you try it out before friday, let me know how it goes.
